How to Farmers Walk

About the Farmers Walk

As you have probably seen on your television sets whilst watching Strongman competitions, the farmers walk is a staple discipline for Strongmen, showcasing the athletes grip strength and endurance.

Whilst in the instructions we talk about using dumbbells, specific farmers walk handles are available in some gyms which cater for Strongman training.

How to perform

Preparation

  1. Find a set of suitable dumbbells
  2. Grasp the dumbbells in each hand and stand erect

Execution

  1. Walk for the desired distance or time whilst grasping the dumbbells
