The pectoralis minor is a small muscle which is located under the pectoralis major, in the upper region of the chest.
Its main action is stabilising the scapula. It is recruited during downward rotation of the scapula during exercises such as chin/pull-up variations, and also during some chest exercises as a synergist (a secondary aid to the lift).
The pectoralis minor will be recruited and stressed from a well structured routine.
