Directions:

Preperation/body position

  1. Lay face down on mat.
  2. Extend arms flat above head.

Excution/Movement

  1. Raise shoulders and arms, thighs and lower legs up off floor.
  2. This action will resemble a superman pose, as if flying through the air (watch out for the kryptonite!)
  3. Slowly return to starting position.
  4. Repeat for desired amount of repetitions.

Comments

The superman, or dorsal raises as they are also known, is a great exercise to stimulate the erector spinae.

Perform the repetitions in a slow controlled way, to effectively stimulate the erector spinae.
